The Story of a Name
Founded by Graham and Ethan Reynolds in 2005, the House Forty Eight studio started as a room in our home. Our home address (48) not only inspired the name House Forty Eight, but also our culture of collaboration. We started with a clear aesthetic vision and a readiness to do things ourselves.
Handmade in Park City
With no studio space available in our small ski town we made the decision to set up production in-house. Using design thinking to develop unique ways of producing handmade jewelry has since become a principle of House Forty Eight. At its heart, our studio is the combination of thoughtfully designed products and specialized craftsmanship.
A Creative Collective
The House Forty Eight team is now a small eclectic mix of product designers and craftsman. This mix of people with diverse backgrounds drives the joy for experimentation and commitment to quality reflected in our products. Working predominately with prototypes, the team develops products in a hands-on process before making small production batches. Every element of each piece we create has been considered and thought-out down to the smallest detail.
